We're Hiring: Land Surveyor

Are you an experienced land surveyor with a keen eye for detail? Join our team and contribute to significant projects by providing essential surveying expertise. If you have a passion for precision and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.

• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

• Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles.

• Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or features.

• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.

• Prepare and supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.

• Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.

• Plan and conduct ground surveys to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.

• Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries.

• Coordinate findings with engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others involved in projects.

• Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.

• Establish fixed points for use in making maps using geodetic and engineering instruments.

• Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas using theodolites, transits, and GPS.

• Train assistants and helpers and direct their work in performing surveys or drafting maps.

• Analyze survey objectives and specifications to prepare survey proposals or guide others in preparing them.

• Conduct research on surveying and mapping methods, photogrammetric map compilation, and data processing techniques.

• Locate and mark sites for geophysical prospecting activities, such as petroleum or mineral prospecting.

• Survey bodies of water to determine navigable channels and gather data for marine construction.

• Direct aerial surveys of specified geographical areas and determine specifications for photographic equipment for aerial photography.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years' work experience.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills.

• Professionalism is a must.
