Firefighting Technician

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Firefighting Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of firefighting pipe networks, including steel pipe fabrication, welding, outdoor installations, and painting. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working at heights and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabrication of Steel Pipes:

• Measure, cut, and assemble steel pipes for firefighting systems.
• Ensure precise fabrication according to engineering specifications.

2. Installation of Firefighting Network:

• Install pipes, valves, fittings, and other components of fire suppression systems.
• Follow safety standards and building codes during installation.

3. Working at Heights:

• Perform installations and repairs on elevated structures such as scaffolding, ladders, and rooftops.
• Use fall protection equipment and adhere to height safety protocols.

4. Outdoor Installation of Firefighting Network:

• Work in various weather conditions to install and maintain outdoor firefighting systems.
• Handle trenching, pipe laying, and securing pipelines in outdoor environments.

5. Painting of Firefighting Pipe Network:

• Prepare and paint pipes to prevent corrosion and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Special Requirements:

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting materials, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Experience: Prior experience in firefighting system installation, pipe fabrication,
• or related field is preferred.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions in
• construction and fire protection work

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or pipefitting is a plus.
