Electronic Specialist  

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic systems, automation, PLC programming, and control theory.
• Experience working with measurement instruments, sensors, and control systems commonly used in the steel industry.

Skills:

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, and data analysis tools
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

6G Pipe Welder/Fabricator

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

• Carrying-out required welding jobs and maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) by associating with mechanical technician as per maintenance SAP PM work order and giving back proper feedback.
• To perform welding / gas cutting work in EAF/LRF roof, shell, and EBT water cooled panel’s leakages in assistance with mechanical fitter.
• Assisting mechanical technician in correcting the identified abnormalities under the supervision of his superior.
• Assisting mechanical technician in attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
• Implementing & following the instructions from the management.
• Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
• Assisting mechanical technician in carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.
• Proper maintenance of equipment / facilities and carrying out repair works and keeping spares ready.
• Studying the system, proper tools handling, safekeeping and working effectively to reduce the maintenance cost.
• Proper housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools and work areas. Cleaning of equipment areas after any maintenance job.
• Following rules & regulations of the Company, such as company annual leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days and safety instructions and also the rules specified by the Authority / Ministry.
• Performs other tasks and duties that maybe assigned by his superior.

Auto Electrician - Heavy Equipment  

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

• Electrical Maintenance
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in steel production processes.
• Repair and Installation
• Repair or replace defective electrical components, such as motors, switches, relays, and control panels.
• Install new electrical equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and adherence to safety standards.
• Preventive Maintenance
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• HSE & Quality Responsibilities
• Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System, and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001)
• Executing Health, Safety, and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standards, company and country rules, and legal regulations
• Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, and objectives and preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Specialist  

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

• Executing the maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems with assistance from the mechanical fitter, as per daily checklists and SAP preventive maintenance plan.
• Inspection of responsible/allocated area system, reporting any major abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook and checklists of SAP
• Execution of corrective action to eliminate the identified abnormalities with assistance from, Mechanical Fitter
• Thorough understanding of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems and their circuits, and system components so that maintenance time can be reduced by solving the problems quickly to ensure the maximum equipment availability
• Implementing the instruction from the management
• Coordinating with other departments and working as a team
• Carrying out daily hydraulic oils of various systems, making the spares list, proper maintenance of systems, Equipment/ facilities/ carrying out repair works, and keeping spares ready.
• Studying the hydraulic & pneumatic systems circuit diagrams/ drawings, selecting proper tools for special/critical jobs, safekeeping, and working effectively to reduce maintenance costs.
• Responsible to have proper housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools, and work areas. Cleaning of equipment areas after any maintenance job
• Following rules & regulations of the company, such as company annual leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days, and safety instructions and the rules specified by the Authority/ Ministry
• Performs other tasks and duties that maybe assigned by his superior

LRF Operator

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

• Attending toolbox meeting with his crew members, to address all the safe working practices, INIR’s, Hazard & Risk Identification’s, Ladder Safety, House Keeping and waste management. 
• He should ensure that all required tools and tackles and consumables are available near the shop floor for his shift as well as for reliever shift to avoid any kind of delays. 
• Must follow the shift relieving policy (handover &takeover of shift at work site) and also, he must ensure himself available at work site during working hours. 
• Carry-out pre-operation inspection / check list, equipment trials and any abnormalities noticed to be reporting to immediate superior. 
• Preparation includes taking trail movement of scrap & ladle transfer cars and preheater, scrap buckets, rail exchangers, purging lines. 
• Performing the visual inspection of shell bottom, temperature measurement, EBT flapper monitoring (during closing). 
• Fire watch of surroundings (Roof gantry, Tilting Cylinders, settling chamber and materials area) during EAF process and tapping. 
• Reporting to EAF SIC for material issuances as per the stock availability at shop floor. 
• Performing all the activities related to purging hose connection & di-connection. LF consumables, manual alloy addition arrangements at working floor. 
• Perform Electrode preparation activity like nipple fixing and lifting spare electrode. 
• Reporting to EAF/LRF SIC for material issuances as per the stock availability at shop floor. 
• Electrode changing, adjustment & preparation and seeking assistance from EAF / LF supervisor. 
• Perform cleaning of rail tracks, scrap car, and scrap charging area, tapping pit trench, electrode stands, and walkways. 
• Assisting LF lead operator for cleaning of car tracks, material area, trench and roof. 
• Perform the activities like gunning, fettling, cold ramming, EBT re-piping, EBT changing, end brick changing, lining repairs and door electrode changing along with his fellow men / refractory team.
