Note about Float Positions

• Due to their size and diverse needs, this school hires several ‘float’ teachers, in anticipation of new classes opening up due to expansion and/or reallocation of teachers. 
• Float teachers may not initially have an assigned class, and will instead act as in house substitutes and/or learning support and/or administrative support until a class opens up. 
• This means that they may have low contact time at first. 
• When a suitable class becomes available they have the benefit of knowing the school, the children and the culture so it’s a good opportunity for teachers to ease their way into international teaching while getting a full teacher’s salary and benefits throughout their employment, regardless of their day to day assignment.
